Battery Recycling

We recommend that people use Rechargeable Batteries as they can be reused many hundreds of times, therefore saving money and the additional resources used, and waste generated by single use batteries.

All batteries can be recycled in Lane Cove at a number of locations:

- Inside Aldi, on the right before exiting the store.

- Inside Woolworths, at the top of the tavelator.

- At the library (ask staff) and the Council Chambers near the counter.

As some batteries contain toxic heavy metals (eg cadmium) recyling is important to keep them out of landfill and reuses the materials.
